“The devils light”

Part of my most recent collection of work, where I bring cut flowers into sculptural compositions. This piece evokes a surreal sense of wonder in it’s seemingly impossible light source. The development of lighting a dried flower took a great deal of experimenting with careful wiring, unique low voltage heat reduction and a special bulb to ensure the light was both safe and visible. Sand cast recycled bronze is used to create each unique holder for the flower. Flowers are grown in California, selected and dried in NYC, before assembling in my studio.
