“On stone I rest my mind”

For this piece I explored using a structure made popular in the middle of the century, bringing new life with materiality and flourishes of grown forms. The layer of raw Roma travertine brings a strong accent to the piece, atoped with rich and soft fabric upholstery to create tension in it’s materiality. Cut and carved in Brooklyn.
